Marketing aimed at children uses colours, formats and tools designed specifically to attract them. It also plays on the concerns of children and teenagers to ‘fit in’. There is a whole range of different types of marketing used to target children.

The traditional methods of promotion such as adverts on TV or radio, or the use of billboards or posters are still the most common.
